THREE. N4-T3 AND C1-14D: L1N6.

Not long after the start of the comic now known as “Bob and George,” during the span of which certain individuals, such as Thomas Light and his robots, had their lives put on display, a single Demon broke its way out of its confines at Dr. Wily’s laboratory.

How this happened I cannot say. Perhaps Wily thought it amusing to unleash a random monstrosity upon the world. Perhaps one of his fail-safes had malfunctioned. It is a matter of certainty, however, that the Yellow Demon soon moved to attack the home of Dr. Thomas Light.

This was not as serious of a problem as one might imagine. Light’s robot, Megaman soon recalled (with some modest prodding) the secret to destroying these creatures, and proceeded to incapacitate the Yellow Demon.

But what a boon this was! For the very first time, one of Albert Wily’s new Demons was available for study, and Light was quick to seize the opportunity.

After much observation and analysis, Light felt he had gleaned a rudimentary understanding of the changes Wily had made to nanomorphs. He set his mind to remodeling this one.

The original control jewel was in a state of complete disrepair, so Light created his own- shaped, oddly enough, like large pair of glasses. (Even more bizarrely, these had the secondary effect, through complex diffraction of light, of sharpening the Demon’s poor vision.)

Thomas imbued this control jewel with a far kinder, gentler personality matrix than the Demon had previously held, and rechristened the being “Nate,” after his model, N4, and his serial, T3.

One more thing should be noted about Nate- Dr. Light devised a system to allow him to hide much of his bulk away, allowing him to associate casually with human beings. A tract of hyperspace was created for Nate’s sole use, where he could store as much of his mass as he desired. This made him extremely effective as a shapeshifter— save, of course, that he retained his yellow hue and glasses at all times. Light continued to send his observations on these and other things to myself and others interested in the subject.

Nate was a pleasant Demon to have around. Unfortunately, there was still no way for him to speak, but through the use of hand-written signs he could communicate with relative ease. He often volunteered to lend his assistance in the many battles the Light household fought against random aggressors.

One such enemy was the would-be conqueror Mynd. Hailing from an unknown universe, Mynd brought two minions with him, one of whom was a Purple Demon of his own design, C1-14D-L1N6, nicknamed Chadling.

Chadling had abilities that would have astonished Wily. His true mass, though usually contained in hyperspace, was more than ten times that of Nate, allowing him to grow to outrageous size. He could change the hue of his individual nanobots, allowing him to even imitate human skin tones. And furthermore, he could speak.

Fortunately, Chadling found he liked the eccentric atmosphere at Light Laboratories, and elected to turn against Mynd. This presented Light with another enormous opportunity for study. Though few of Chadling’s unique innovations could be applied to Nate, as it was soon revealed they functioned at the level of individual nanobots, the scientific community was gratified to receive Light’s notes on this new Demon.

So this state of affairs continued for quite some time, with the two Demons residing comfortably with Thomas Light, even past the day the Author deemed the end of the comic.

Until, that is, the death of Wily and the onset of Daraku.

FOUR. THE TAKEOVER.

Reporterz is hosted on Comic Genesis, a free webhosting and site automation service for webcomics. I find it quite satisfactory.

I owe a large part of the website design to Ping Teo of The Jaded.
The 'Ocean Blue Indextemplate,' upon which my website is based, is free-use for all Keenspacers, courtesy of the Workshop.

Finally, I'd like to state that all copyrighted material is owned by its creator, as this strip is merely a humble parody. See here. The creators of all these works have my utmost respect. ~Mastercougar
