The Last Comic

There's a lot I could say about this comic, and about this ending, but on some level I think it speaks for itself.

I thought for a long time about whether or not Reporterz would continue, and I think it was the right decision to end it. And I think making this comic helped me be at peace with that.

It was always my intention that, whether or not I was able to tell the tale, the characters would live through their finale and their ever after. So that's how I've depicted it here, with Gabby talking to MC at some unspecified point after the end.

It would have been nice to get all the way to the ending I planned, but I think this is the next best thing. I've given you a hint of how the final storyline would have gone, without laying every detail bare. Mainly, I just wanted you to know that there was a final battle, and things turned out all right for our heroes, and they're walking triumphantly into the rest of their lives.

If that comes across at all, and I think it does, then it's an ending I can be proud of.

You can read more about my reasons for ending the comic on this thread on the forums. Feel free to ask me any questions about the ending, as well.

It's been a marvelous six years, and I'm grateful for every bit of it. Thank you to everyone who's stuck with this story to the end. Your support has made this comic what it is, and rendered these years of Dimensi Portals absolutely unforgettable.

As I've said above, one day I plan to revisit these ideas and characters. I'll be sure to keep you posted. Until that time, I bid you all a very fond farewell.

Reporterz is hosted on Comic Genesis, a free webhosting and site automation service for webcomics. I find it quite satisfactory.

I owe a large part of the website design to Ping Teo of The Jaded.
The 'Ocean Blue Indextemplate,' upon which my website is based, is free-use for all Keenspacers, courtesy of the Workshop.

Finally, I'd like to state that all copyrighted material is owned by its creator, as this strip is merely a humble parody. See here. The creators of all these works have my utmost respect. ~Mastercougar
